It’s been six years of work with New Orleans Airlift on their main project, the Music Box Village, and beyond. Here are a few of the large-scale works we made.
The Trans-National – Sharjah Biennial 14
One of Hyperallergic’s top 10 art shows of the decade.
I was one of a team of three lead artists, creators and organizers on this project, over a year in the making, installed and performed in Umm Al Quwain, UAE as commissioned by the Sharjah Art Foundation.
“Musical Architecture” – shown here, the traveling Music Box “Porch Life”
As part of a group of 11, we conceived and built this mini-stage through a design process in New Orleans. I produced & hosted the inaugural 2018 tour with stops in Wisconsin, Detroit, NYC, and the Kennedy Center in DC, and a following 2019 appearance at the Pilgrimage Festival in Nashville.

The Contemporary Arts Center New Orleans, 2019-2020
For 2017’s New Water Music, I worked with composer Yotam Haber, Shadow Parks Department costume designer Sarah McMillan & designer Arielle Avenia, and Airlift staff to direct the art department, recruit fishermen, obtain a key grant from New Music USA, and co-produce a truly staggering assemblage of hundreds of participants, including oyster and shrimp boats in a ballet, the Louisiana Philharmonic, and many others for a one-day performance debut on Lake Pontchartrain at Seabrook Bridge, for 4,000 audience members.
